is your one-stop shop for loving and trustworthy pet sitters and dog walkers near you.
Shop Dog Boutique is a Sioux Falls pet shop offering food, supplies, and toys for your four-legged friend. We are located at The Bridges at 57th and Western. Come in to get a gift for your dogs or puppies at Sioux Falls’ hippest pet boutique.
Our independent bookstore is a small business, and that means everyone has a job to do -- even the four-legged members of our staff. Don't be alarmed if you're greeted at the door by one of our small, furry, friendly associates. (Just make sure the door closes behind you, if you don't mind. The parking lot is no place for a shop dog!)

We, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, would like to highlight one of the services we offer visiting authors: friendly canine companionship. Traveling to promote your book and need some fuzzy four-legged encouragement? Feeling sad about leaving your own dog at home? We are just the creatures to suit your pooch-affection needs! Hello, people. We, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, need to tell you something that may surprise you: it turns out we’re not good at everything. Sometimes, we screw up. This has perhaps never been so true as during our recent attempt to take employee badge photos. We, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, love a birthday. When a shop-person has a birthday, there are cake crumbs on the staff room floor and lots of hugging and singing and sometimes clapping, which always makes Opie bark. So we were extremely excited to hear that Peggy, the Parnassus on Wheels bookmobile, would be celebrating her first birthday and hitting the road to celebrate all over Nashville. We wanted to get her a present! It’s important to remember that Parnassus book events are more than just entertainment — they’re learning opportunities. That’s why we, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, will be taking notes when celebri-dog . From all of us, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, to all of you — our human and canine bookloving friends — we wish joy and peace. Please enjoy our annual holiday greeting. (See above. This year it’s a special story about how we all helped Opie.) And if there’s any way we can help you in these last days of 2016 — snuggles? noseprints on your glasses? — just let us know. We’re at your loyal service. Here’s our schedule for the next couple of weeks: This is a special investigative report by the shop dogs of Parnassus Books. Have you seen the film, The Secret Life of Pets? We haven’t, because dogs aren’t allowed in theaters, but we get the gist. And while we know that the idea of dogs getting into mischief when no one’s looking is totally ludicrous, we have our suspicions about what the books in our store have been doing when the shop-people aren’t here.
