Use these dog house heaters, kennel heaters, and heated crate pads to keep your dog warm this cold winter
Please note, the small size of this product normally comes in a package that says "Lectro-Kennel Heated Pad" and has a picture of a dog on it. From time-to-time we run out of those boxes and we will ship the exact same product in a box that says "Outdoor Heated Kitty Pad" and has a picture of a cat on it. They are the exact same product, with different packaging.
Note: Do not cover the entire doghouse or kennel floor with the Lectro-Kennel, so that the dog can choose whether to lie on or off the heated pad.

The last time my lovely wife put me in the dog house, I thought it would be OK to check-in to one of the nice ones I made for my dogs. After all, they were retrofitted with underfloor radiant heating. To my surprise, I snuck into the dog kennel and was taken aback by the new signs outside each of the houses. They read, NO VACANCY! are similar in some respects to heated kennel mats with the main difference being that they are designed for indoor use only. They provide radiant heating from a heating strip buried inside the padded bed that keeps the surface of the bed about 12° to 15° above the ambient air temperature. The outer covers are usually removable and washable. If you have a drafty house or perhaps an older dog with poor circulation, a heated dog bed is a low cost way to keep your dog warm and snug. Energy consumption is minimal - about the same as that for a 10-watt light bulb. There are commercial heated kennel mats that you can purchase and place on the floor for your dog to lie. The cost of a heated mat is about $40 to $80. You could also use a heating pad. With either of these you will need an electrical outlet nearby. If your dog is prone to chewing, you will want to devise some type of protection for the electrical cord such as placing it inside a PVC pipe to prevent your dog harming himself or creating a fire. Another solution might be to place the heated kennel mat under the dog house floor if you can devise a way to prevent it from getting wet.Installing radiant heating in a dog kennel can be beneficial for many dogs in different living situations. For example, sick dogs recovering from illnesses, whelping, and older dogs simply because their metabolism and general fitness isn’t what it used to be. Another reason to install radiant heating in a dog kennel is for dogs with short hair that doesn’t keep them as warm, such as Dobermans, Greyhounds, and German shorthaired Pointers. There is some anecdotal evidence that suggests a metal heater box will outlive heated kennel mats (some dogs like to chew on mats) so you may want to factor that into your buying decision.WarmlyYours would be a perfect choice to install in a dog kennel.
