It's harder to find more of a variety and better quality dog beds for larger breeds than for smaller dogs
The Big Barker brand is internationally recognized for its 10-year guarantee on its products. This brand is also very popular because it specializes in huge sized dogs and has a unique 3 layer system built entirely around the frame of large dogs. However, smaller dogs can be catered for with the Big Barker Junior brand which is essentially a miniature version of the flagship product. Big Barker is a USA company that prides itself in using only the best quality materials in creating dog beds which has gained it international acclamation. It is definitely a brand to be considered if you have a bigger dog in need of a good bed.
We have Newfoundlands and other large dogs, including seniors, and I wish there had been a review of Big Barker dog beds. They are terribly expensive but a waterproof liner can be purchased. Foster and Smith has a couple of beds with additional waterproof liners, which split and are useless, especially the last 5 deluxe ones I purchased for their orthopedic bed, which broke down quickly.

Dog Beds - Dogs love to sleep and do plenty of it
Amazing Doggie Beds We have spent 100's of dollars on beds for our 3 small dogs. They chew through everything we have purchased, including the Kong beds that are supposed to be tough. I found this [Kuranda] bed online and bought a small one for our furbabies. They LOVE their new beds. They seemed a bit pricey at first, but considering how much we have spent on dog beds and the durability of these beds, I think it was money well spent. MeeMaw S Lake Tahoe,Ca Little pooches want small dog beds that are comfortable and stylish. We believe that dog beds for small dogs have some special considerations to bear in mind. These little pets like to snuggle more, like the security ofbeds they can burrow into, and like the feel of faux fur that recalls the time they had litter mates beside themfor companionship.Great dog bed I have two small dogs - Yorkie and Yorkie/Westie mix. Together they literally weigh 13lbs. But somehow, they manage to tear apart the biggest, best dog beds we can find. So I did my research, I figured if I buy the most expensive one I can find they can't chew it right? Wrong. They chewed through another company's bed in 3 days flat. .. Long story short, I have had this Kuranda bed for about a week now, my dogs sleep on it in their kennel and they don't even TRY to chew it. .. Love it, easy to clean if we need to, very simple design, short enough to let them jump on it (they have trouble jumping our stairs). Tasha Thornton, CO Many of us let our pet dogs or cats sleep on our bed but there are times when it’s just not good, like hot summer nights, or if your pup has spent the day romping through the woods and is a little dirty. Dogs also like to lounge in the same rooms as us and a dog bed is more comfortable than a carpet or wood floor. I’ve bought several types of pet beds for my cats and having worked with dogs in boarding facilities and shelters, the beds make a huge difference when it comes to easing anxiety, helping older dogs rest comfortably, and making their days better and nights serene.
